Christmas At The Princess

So many people in Arizona talk about going to Christmas at the Princess in Scottsdale. We went for the first time last week. I was an OK experience 🫤 I would go again next year but do a few things differently.

1️⃣ I would stay at overnight at the hotel.

I got the tickets on Groupon which was less than $100 for a family of 6 so a bargain. But after parking in the dirt lot, we had to stand in line for over 20 minutes to ride a bus to go across the street. They didn’t allow people to walk since there was a median directly across the busy street.

Because of the age differences of our kids, both sets of kids enjoyed doing different things. It would have been nice to have a room to take the littles back to rest so the big kids could stay out later.

The Princess is also about an hour from our house so we spent a lot of time in the car that evening.

Overall, I think we would have had a better time if we turned it into a staycation instead of a night activity.

2️⃣ I would prepare the day prior.

In true Forkenbrock fashion we were in a rush getting out of the house. We forgot our stroller when we were about 20 minutes from the house.😩 The more we thought about it we realized we needed a stroller. We had a lot of stuff with us plus Blakely is a runner. So we stopped by Target on the way except we missed the exit so that added extra time. It was also dinner time & we didn’t know the food situation so we stopped at Chick Fil A near the Princess which also took forever.

Again, staying at the hotel would have solved most of these issues!

3️⃣ I would take more photos.

Both my husband & I realized we hardly took any photos! We didn’t even get one family picture.
