You Won’t Hear This From Many Realtors

As a homebuyer it can be tempting to buy a house that needs a lot of work because it’s a “good deal”. Even though it may in your budget, you want to also budget for the fact that somebody didn’t take care of the house. When people are letting their property deteriorate such as neglecting roof repairs & servicing the AC, these are expenses that YOU are going to have when you buy a home that needs work. To me, when there is so much unknown about what you are buying, the exposure to risk sometimes just isn’t worth it, no matter how good of a deal that you got. What are your thoughts? Do you agree with me?
